Minimum order: one full shipping container

Fovarya sells date syrup by the full container load. This is a wholesale supply relationship for food and beverage manufacturers, ingredient importers, distributors, private-label programmes and foodservice buyers — not a route for retail or small trial quantities.

If a full container of date syrup fits your Canada production or distribution plan, send your requirement for a tailored quotation. If your volume is smaller, a regional distributor is usually the better fit and we are happy to say so.

A container of IBCs is the usual first order for a Canadian plant; flexitank makes sense once a line is running a consistent annual volume of a single grade.

Bulk date syrup for Canadian manufacturers and distributors

Fovarya ships bulk date syrup to Canadian food manufacturers and to the distributors that supply them. The product is a pure date sweetener at 72–75° Brix, dark amber to brown, with a moisture content of 25–28%. It is used across bar, snack, bakery, sauce and dairy manufacturing as a natural sweetener that also binds and holds moisture.

Date syrup in the Canadian bar and snack sector

Canada has a substantial energy-, protein- and snack-bar manufacturing base, and date syrup suits it well. It binds dry ingredients, keeps a bar soft across shelf life, and lets a formulator drop a glucose-plus-humectant system in favour of one fruit ingredient. The same properties carry over to granola clusters, date squares, muffins and loaf cakes, and to the private-label snack programmes that many Canadian co-manufacturers run.

Working with a Canadian importer of record

The importer of record holds the Safe Food for Canadians licence and the preventive control plan, and is the party CFIA deals with. Fovarya supplies the goods and the documents that travel with them — the certificate of analysis, the certificate of origin and, where asked, a health or free-sale certificate. If you buy through a distributor, that relationship and the licensing sit with them; if you import directly, we quote to your nominated port.

Currency, incoterms and landed cost

We can price so your procurement team compares landed cost cleanly rather than converting after the fact, and set out CFR to port against DAP to facility so the freight and customs risk sits where you want it. Pricing is by tailored quotation — there is no list price for a bulk food ingredient, and the offer depends on grade, packaging, volume, destination and timing.

Order planning across a year

A container is a meaningful quantity of syrup, so buyers usually map it against a production or promotional calendar and book call-off shipments rather than a single delivery. Share your run rate and we will structure the quotation around it.

Export and logistics to Canada

Date syrup ships as an ambient food ingredient — no refrigeration in transit. We quote FOB origin, or CFR / CIF / DAP to a Canadian port or your facility so you can compare a delivered price against arranging freight yourself into Canada. Container loading, palletisation and the shipping documents are handled by our team.

Lane Destination port Indicative transit
Central & eastern Canada Montreal / Halifax Confirmed at quotation
Western Canada Vancouver / Prince Rupert Confirmed at quotation

Port options only — the routing and transit time for your shipment are confirmed with the quotation.

Importing date syrup into Canada

Date syrup imported into Canada falls under the Safe Food for Canadians Regulations. The importer generally needs a Safe Food for Canadians licence and a preventive control plan, and shipments are subject to CFIA oversight. Labels must be bilingual (English and French): the common name, ingredient list and the Nutrition Facts / valeur nutritive table — including the “Sugars / Sucres” line and its % Daily Value — all appear in both languages. We provide the analytical data to populate that table and can supply the certificate of analysis and certificate of origin the importer files.

General guidance for planning only — confirm current import, duty and labelling requirements with your customs broker and regulatory team.

How Canada manufacturers use date syrup

  • Energy, protein and snack bars — binding and humectancy
  • Granola, clusters and cereal
  • Bakery — muffins, loaf cakes, cookies and date squares
  • Sauces, glazes and marinades
  • Dairy, frozen dessert and plant-based bases
  • Foodservice and industrial repackers

Specification and bulk packaging

How Fovarya controls quality and compliance

Buying date syrup wholesale in Canada

What documentation do you provide for a CFIA import?

A certificate of analysis for the lot and a certificate of origin as standard, plus a health or free-sale certificate where requested. The importer of record holds the Safe Food for Canadians licence and preventive control plan; we supply what travels with the goods.

Can you support bilingual labelling?

We provide the underlying nutrition and ingredient data in a form that can be set in English and French. Your packaging team produces the compliant bilingual artwork.

Do you ship less than a container to Canada?

No — the minimum is one full container. Fovarya works with manufacturers and distributors buying date syrup in commercial quantity.

Which ports do you quote for Canada?

Montreal or Halifax for central and eastern destinations, Vancouver or Prince Rupert for the west, with onward rail or road arranged to your facility if you take a delivered price.
